JMRL Strategic Planning Survey

The Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL) and the Library Board of Trustees have begun work on the Library’s next strategic plan, covering Fiscal Years 2025-2029. JMRL’s strategic plan charts a path for the Library to best meet its mission in service to the people of Albemarle, Charlottesville, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson.

JMRL Mission Statement: JMRL fosters personal growth and life-long learning for all by connecting people with ideas, information, and each other.

JMRL’s current strategic plan has led to many initiatives that have improved library service to the community, such as:

This planning process includes feedback from you!  Please take a few moments to share your thoughts on current and future library services. Fill out the Strategic Planning Survey and enter a drawing for a gift certificate.

JMRL will be accepting survey responses throughout September and October of 2023. Once this engagement phase of planning is complete, the Library Board will discuss strategic plan drafts at public meetings in early 2024, and adopt a completed plan by the Board’s June 2024 meeting.
