Tired of the same ol’ workout routine? Head to the Greene County Library for an invigorating dance workshop to improve your mind, body, and soul!
American Tribal Style (ATS) Belly Dance, according to dance instructor Karyn White, is great for boosting mood, building strength, and improving cardiovascular health.
“The ATS dance movements we practice are good for working and isolating muscles you may not even know you have!” Karyn said.
“Most importantly, belly dance is empowering and aims to build your confidence. It is a fun activity for women, where you can feel supported, loved, and part of a tribe.”
Karyn has been studying ATS and Tribal Fusion style for 11 years and has been teaching this unique form of dancing for two years.
“My favorite part of belly dance is the pure joy I feel when dancing. It is my true happy place and I love being able to share that with others, whether through teaching or performing,” Karyn said.
Join Karyn at the Greene County Library for the belly dance workshop series, starting on October 1, and continuing on October 8, 15, and 22 from 7:30-8:30pm. This is a free event and open to ages 12+. Each class builds on one another, so don’t miss out!
