JMRL Food for Fines Food Drive
Bring an item to the Front Desk of any JMRL location and receive $1 off overdue fines and late renewal fines for each donated item. Accounts in collections and billed items are ineligible for this offer. No fines? Your donations are still greatly appreciated!
This will mark the last year that food drive donations can be used to offset overdue fines, as JMRL undergoes preparations to do away with overdue fines for most library materials in July 2026.
Most Needed Items (No glass please):
- Canned soups, fruits, and vegetables
- Cereal
- Nut butters
- Spaghetti Sauce
- Boxed mac & cheese
- Pasta and Rice
- Canned tuna and chicken
- beans, canned or dried
- baby food, formula, diapers
- soap, toiletries, feminine products
- Paper products
Donations made to Louisa County Library will benefit the Louisa County Resource Council.
Donations made at Scottsville Library will be distributed on site through the Scottsville Little Free Food Pantry.
Donations at all other library branches will go to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
