Last Summer, Geoff Marsh visited three JMRL Library branches, drawing so much attention that Library staff invited him back for another series of performances as part of the Summer 2025 Performer and Featured Presenter lineup.
This year, Geoff Marsh visited eight library branches over the course of four days, entertaining audiences of all ages with incredible tricks, including five hat juggling, plate spinning, and an impressive and hilarious balancing act.
Geoff’s act also included the lovable wooden dog marionette puppet named Bonkers, offering an invitation for kids to take him home, ‘no strings attatched’

“He is my favorite favorite juggling/clowning/magician performer that I have ever seen and the kids LOVED him. I even heard parents say he was their favorite library magician ever!” says one JMRL staff member. “We definitely should bring him back”, adds another.
Audience interaction was a notable part of the performance, with several children bring brought up to the front to participate in some of his tricks. One of the kids who was part of the plate spinning act said after the show, “Did you see me? That was so cool!”.
Geoff worked hard to seamlessly integrate the audience into the show, engaging in conversation with the kids, joking with the adults, and getting everyone to participate with call-and-responses, Q&A’s, and voluntary participation in tricks.
Lastly, Geoff highlighted that you can learn juggling, magic, clowning, and puppetry from books that you can borrow from the library, and answered audience questions about his craft to a mystified, yet energetic audience.
JMRL wishes to extend gratitude to the Friends of the Library, whoses funding makes programming such as this possible, as well as Geoff Marsh, Circus Tycoon for the performance, and The Library’s wonderful patronbase for their continued support and attendance of the many wondeful programs offered this year at JMRL.
